The visit of experts of International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) to Baku is about to complete. Trend reports with reference to international relations department of scientific-agrarian center with the Ministry of Agriculture, the three experts visit might be estimated as fruitful.
The experts visit aim is familiarization with further development of plants whose seed had been provided by ICARDA. This seed has been planted at experimental stations with scientific-agrarian center on Absheron peninsula, Jalilabad and Gobustan. The experts came to these stations and reviewed legumes and cereals.
Azerbaijan is actively cooperating with ICARDA. In previous years, supported by ICARDA scientific-research institute of erosion and irrigation implemented several projects, such as "Check of improved irrigation technologies with participation of farms for soybeans planting on experimental land in Terter area", "Study of fruit gardens planting on hill flanks in Shemakha area with farmers involvement" and so on.
