The schedule of forming the prices for fares in route buses of Baku was submitted in Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Tariff Council Heydar Babayev told Trend.
For long time, we have worked on the formation of the prices, and today the schedule has been fully prepared and consultations have been held with the Transport Ministry. It is expected to make a decision be the end of the week, Babayev stressed.
According to Babayev, presently debates are being held to define the tariffs depending on the distance of the way.
We want to define base prices, and the prices will differ depending on the distance of the way. Several entrepreneurs have already ordered new routes because they know that the requirements are toughened and therefore, they are interested in realizing passenger transportation in accordance with the new requirements, Babayev emphasized.
The state should create conditions and if there are dangers in transportation of passengers in old buses, it will be forbidden. The owner of these buses will themselves decide the destiny of the routes, Babayev concluded.
