The State Veterinary Service of Azerbaijan informed Trend that the status on the bird flu' virus will be researched during monitoring which commenced on February 12th.
The third monitoring exercise is carried out by specialists of the Veterinary Service, Ecology, Natural Resources and Health Ministries, as well as representatives of the Hunting Community. The monitoring will end on February 16th.
Azerbaijan imposed a ban on importation of animal products from Krasnodar Region of Russia and Turkey due to cases of H5 virus in these countries. Azerbaijan purchases chickens from the United States, Canada and Brazil.
