Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr U. Ismayilova/Azerbaijani insurance company, Khalg Sighorta, has summarized its results for the first quarter of 2007.
A source at the insurance company said today that insurance premiums totaled AZN 1.837 mln., with AZN 129.000 paid out in claims. The company could collect re-insurance premiums in the amount of AZN 21.000.
Most packages sold in the first quarter fell to medical insurance. The least amount in premiums for the reporting period fell at holiday insurance. The most amount in premiums for the reporting period fell at CASCO insurance.
Markedly, the authorized capital of the insurance company to 1 April 2007 reached AZN 2 mln.
According to results for 2006, the total sum of insurance premiums was AZN 4.015.000, with AZN 288.000 paid out in claims.
Notably, Khalg Sighorta has operated in Azerbaijan's insurance market since 2005. The company offers 20 types of insurance. Furthermore, the insurance company is the authorized agent of the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF).
