Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Babayeva/ Ramiz Hassanov, the Director of the State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, considers that the Draft - "On Technical regulation", which was prepared for Azerbaijan's joining WTO (World Trade Organization), will change the whole system of standardization in the country.
During today's meeting with companies of the Caspian Integration and Business Club (CIBC), the Head of the State Agency, has said that a reference, made by the WTO Secretariat, has been received by the Azerbaijani party. Mr Hassanov also stressed that the mentioned draft had been elaborated taking into account all references and recommendations put forward by state offices and agencies, as well as WTO experts. The next step will become the submission of the mentioned draft to the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) for further consideration.
