Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr A. Ismaylova / Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, visited a Polyethylene Pipes Processing Plant in the Azerbaijani city of Sumgayit on the 12th of June. The construction of the plant began in 2003. The enterprise was put into operation in 2006. The plant is engaged in the production of water, gas, and sewers and is producing tons of manufacture per hour.
The plant is managed by Azerbaijani-Turkish Design Jenay Azerbaijan JV. From the Azerbaijani side the JV was co-founded by Jenay Azerbaijan company, from the Turkish Design Group. The staff of the plant makes up some fifty people. The raw materials for production are imported from Korea, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Turkey.
