Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli / This year, the Republican Seismological Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan gave approximately forty expert responses regarding construction of multi-storey buildings, according to Gurban Yetirmishli, the Deputy Director of the Centre.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations who provides building permits has ruled constructing multi-storey buildings in landslide zones of the capital to be unacceptable.
Other dangerous zones in Baku are Bayil village, near Ahmadli subway station, and part of the 9th micro-district. Yetirmishli noted that special measures and pre-cautions should be taken in constructing multi-storey buildings in landslide zones.
