Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 February / Trend corr S. Aliyev / On 15 February, the Azerenerji CJSC launched the Mushvig 220KW-substation after its reconstruction, which will improve the power supply to the Sabail, Yasamal and Nasimi districts in Baku, the total population of which totals 550,000.
The Azerenerji contractor involved in the reconstruction was Japan company Itocu. The project which cost $8mln was implemented through the grant allocated by the Japan International Aid Agency. Both auto-transformers with a capacity of 250 mega-volt-amperes were tested in Japan, delivered and set up at the Mushvig substation. The substation has been operating since 1986.
