Azerbaijan can Supply Oil to Ukraine on Commercial Prices: SOCAR Representative
Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 June / corr. Trend S. Aliyev/ The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) can supply oil to Ukraine for Odessa-Brodi pipeline 'only on commercially favorable prices', high ranking official of SOCAR said on 5 June.
"If Ukraine purchases Azerbaijani oil even without the averse of Odessa-Brodi pipeline, we will supply it on commercially favorable prices," SOCAR said.
In May, Ukraine and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on test supply of 470,000 tons oil for Odessa-Brodi pipeline. "There is an agreement to supply test consignment of oil and to supply any volumes of oil to Ukraine if it is paid," the representative of SOCAR said.
According to SOCAR representative, Azerbaijan will not be able to supply oil to Ukraine once it gets a proposal from Kiev 'exceptional supply terms and payment by installments'.
Ukraine can purchase 470,000 of Azerbaijani oil from Supsa, Novorossiysk and Ceyhan ports.
' Ukraine can purchase oil through tenders and can make its commercial proposals," SOCAR representative said.
The newly established affiliated company of SOCAR Trading is dealing with the sale of SOCAR oil.
"SOCAR Trading has been selling oil for already a month and half for more favorable terms than FOB." SOCAR representative said.
