Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 August / Trend / In January-July 2008, some 29mln tons oil and condensate was produced in Azerbaijan, more by 14.8% compared to January-July 2007, Azerbaijani State Statistic Committee reported.
The main oil production volume fell on the Azerbaijani International operation company 23.7mln tons oil from the Azari-Chirag-Gunashli offshore field.
The gas production touched about 14bln cu m from January to July, more by 66.5% compared to the mentioned period in 2007. Some 4.9bln cu m gas was produced by the Azerbaijani International Operation company.
Over 12bln KWt electric energy was produced in Azerbaijan from January to July, less by 2.1%compared to 2007.
Thermoelectric power stations have used over 2.3bln cu m natural gas in the first quarter of 2008, more by 16.4% compared to 2007. Some 413,500 tons fuel oil was used by thermoelectric power stations in 2008, less by 52.7% than in 2007.
