OPEC Forecasts Annual Growth of World Energy Supplies to 2030

Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 November/ Trend , corr. A.Badalova /In accordance with forecasts of the OPEC, the total volume of world energy supplies will increase over by 50 percentage until 2030 compared to 2006 with annual growth of 1.7 percentage.

The report placed on the official website of OPEC states that the total volume of energy supplies in 2010 will make up 11.720bln tons of oil equivalent, in 2020- 13.964bln and in 2030 - 16.389bln.

In 2010, the volume of world oil supplies will make up 4.257bln tons of oil equivalent, in 2020 - 4.830bln and in 2030 - 5.360bln tons of oil equivalent.

The annual gas supply will make up 2.1 percentages from 2006 to 2030. Te volume of world gas supplies in 2010 will total 2.637bln tons of oil equivalent, in 2020 - 3.239bln and in 2030 - 3.993bln tons of oil equivalent.

The annual growth of goal supply during the mentioned period will make up 1.9 percentages. The goal supply volume in 2010 will touch 3.298bln tons of oil equivalent, in 2020 - 3.993bln and in 2030 - 4.655 bln.

According to the report, the fossil fuel will meet the most share of world energy demand of 85 percentages to 2030. The oil share in the total energy supply consignment will drop to 33 percentages from the current 37 percentages to 2030. The goal share will make up 28 percentage and gas share - 24 percentages to 2030.
