Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.4 / Trend corr N. Ismayilova / Purchase of Azerbaijani oil is so far economically unsuitable for Belarus, Extraordinary and Authorized Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patzkevich said at a news conference on Feb.4.
"Negotiations are still futile so far," the ambassador said.
Patzkevich said that Belarus extracts oil, but is mainly specialized in its refinery. The country produces 1.7-1.8 million tons of oil per year, the diplomat said.
The ambassador added that Belarus has two oil refinery enterprises which are capable to refine 24 million tons in total.
