In January 2009, Azerbaijani state company Azerkimya decreased production of almost all chemical products as compared to the same period of 2008.
According to the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee, production of nitrogen increased by 13.1 percent versus the same period of 2008. No propylene, polyethylene, isopropyl alcohol and paints were produced.
