About 600 megawatt of energy will be supplied to Turkey as soon as Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey energy bridge is launched, Azerenerji (sale and distribution of energy in Azerbaijan) director Etibar Pirverdiyev said.

"The project will be implemented once technical problems are addressed, 500-kilowatt transmission facility crossing Georgia is used and substation is built in Georgia," he said.

Pirverdiyev said Azerbaijan will supply 450 megawatt and Georgia 150 megawatt of energy to Turkey.

"Using two energy systems [Azerbaijan and Georgia] we can supply 600 megawatt of energy to Turkey," he said. About 90 percent of energy is generated by thermoelectric power stations in Azerbaijan and by hydroelectric power station in Georgia.

Capacity of Azerbaijan's energy system is over 5,000 megawatt.
