Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, October 22 / Trend , G.Hasanov /

Famous foreign oil and gas companies will be attracted in the development of the largest field in Turkmenistan, the Southern Yoloten - Osman field, with reserves of 14 trillion cubic meters of gas, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Oct. 22.

The data on reserves of world importance has recently been reaffirmed by the international consultant - British Gaffney, Gline & Associates Company. The article says that this field will be developed with accelerated phases.

Operational drilling on the explored areas is carried out by the Turkmengaz State Concern, Turkmengeologiya State Corporation and others. Now about twenty operational technological wells are being tunneled on the field.

The project to build wells on the giant oil field was developed by scientists and specialists from Ashgabat Oil and Gas Institute, which conducted complex gas, gas condensate and hydro-geological studies to identify opportunities for hydrocarbon exploration and already drilled wells.

On the basis of the data were calculated reserves and prepared a project on industrial exploitation of Southern Yoloten-Osman fields. On the second stage, wells will be drilled in poorly known areas of the giant field.

Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper notes that in the coming years, in this unique gas area will be carried out large-scale development project, involving drilling 120 wells, construction of eight facilities for initial production of gas and two plants with total capacity of 40 billion cubic meters per year.
