SOCAR to take 80 percent of Georgia's oil market in 2010: SOCAR head

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to cover 80 percent of Georgia's oil market in 2010, the official press reported with reference to SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev, who is on a visit to Georgia.
"Our position on the Georgian oil market is getting stronger and our goal is to take 80 percent of the market in 2010," Abdullayev said.
During his visit, Abdullayev familiarized with the construction of the head office in Tbilisi and participated in the opening of new gas station here. The news station was the 28th station functioning in Georgia under the brand of SOCAR. The company plans to open four more own stations in Georgia by late 2009.
