The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) bought 30 gas stations in Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk said today at a press conference in Baku.
SOCAR did not comment on the information.
According to a source in oil and gas market, the gas stations will be supplied with fuel produced at Ukrainian oil refineries.
Earlier Azerbaijan began to supply oil to the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery. Supplies are carried out on the basis of tenders from Black and Mediterranean sea ports, which receive Azerbaijani oil via pipelines.
According to Klimchuk, roughly 200,000 tons of Azeri Light was refined at Kremenchuk in October.
"Although no official statistics have been provided for November, the volume only slightly more than 200,000 tons. The same volume is predicted for December," he said.
