The Baku International Sea Trade Port transshipped over 1.1 million tons of oil cargo in January-June compared to 950,000 tons during the same period in 2009.
An inside source told Trend that the port transshipped 185,000 tons of oil cargo in July.
"In July, the port transshipped 185,000 tons of oil and petroleum products," the source said. "In general, a decrease has been observed in this year's transshipment."
"In the first six months of this year, 950,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were transshipped, which is about 20 percent less than during the same period last year," he added.
The port transshipped 2.5 million tons of oil cargo in 2009, which is 10 percent less than in 2008. In total, the port transshipped 5.1 million tons of cargo in 2009.
