Chairman of Turkmengaz state concern Nuri Muhammedov was reprimanded and warned for poor performance of official duties and shortcomings in his work.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov stated that if the shortages are not liquidated rapidly, he will be dismissed.
The president was dissatisfied with failure to realize a number of projects on construction of industrial infrastructure facilities and exploration of new gas fields.
Muhammedov reported on the main indicators of the gas industry within the "Development of oil and gas industry for the period until 2030" at the latest governmental meeting.
Berdimuhammedov heard the report and stressed the "special importance" to further increase the rate of production of natural gas. It is stipulated by great demand for Turkmen energy resources on the international markets, as well as the growing industrial and economic potential of the Turkmen state.
"Today, local concerns are instructed to implement large-scale projects, including construction of the pipeline East-West. He called for to implement all work in strict accordance with the schedule and at a high quality level with extensive use of latest technologies.
