Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Nov. 2 / Trend H. Hasanov /

Turkmen gas supplies were resumed after the operations were conducted in the structure of the main gas pipeline 'Central Asia-China' within two weeks, Chinese oil company CNPC said.

The work was carried out at a gas processing plant, located on the right bank of the Amu Darya River. The work was conducted in mid-October according to the prescribed schedule. About 3 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to China before the operations.

The pipeline was built by CNPC and put into operation in December 2009. It enabled Turkmenistan to expand sale markets, which were limited by supplies to Russia and Iran.

CNPC operates in Turkmenistan on the basis of the exclusive agreement (PSA) to develop onshore field in Bagtiyarlik in Lebap region of the country. The Turkmen government signs the rest PSA agreements with foreign companies only on offshore blocks in the Caspian Sea.
