The Ecology Department of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has completed the installation of equipment to produce alternative energy within an ecological park in the H.Z.Tagiyev Oil and Gas Department, SOCAR said.
According to the company's report, four wind generators with a capacity of 10 kW / h each, as well as solar batteries with a total capacity of 20 kW / h, have already been installed in the park.
The total volume of electricity to be generated at the expense of alternative energy sources will reach is 60 kW / h.
In order to create a clean environment and reduce the volume of harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere, three electric vehicles and 21 bicycles have been purchased. The purchased vehicles will be used by park visitors and for transporting small loads. Vehicles electricity needs will be met by energy received from solar energy and wind energy generators.
The ecological park covers 9.3 hectares.
