Head of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas Uzakbay Karabalin initiated the formation of a rating bureau for oil and gas goods and services suppliers under Kazenergy at a regular meeting of Kazenergy's Coordinating Council today in Astana.
"The rating agency's main goal is to create a kind of database of oil and gas services and equipment suppliers with a certain evaluative rating," he said. "This will allow customer enterprises to choose a contractor according to their requirements and to avoid low-quality competitors, offering services and goods at dumping prices."
According to the Karabalin, the service is primarily needed by customers who do not posses full information about service companies, which, in turn, will strive for quality standards.
