SOCAR has started drilling an appraisal well at the Alat-Deniz Field
in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said.
According to the information, Well No 23 was drilled from the
Alat-Deniz-63 platform. The project depth is 4,900 meters.
The Bail limani Sea Prospecting Drilling Administration is drilling the well.
The well is drilled to assess oil and gas prospects in the lower
section of the reservoir.
