SOCAR opens new gas stations in Georgia

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia has put into operation three filling stations under SOCAR brand in Georgia, SOCAR Energy Georgia reported.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia has put into operation three filling stations under SOCAR brand in Georgia, SOCAR Energy Georgia reported.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) owns SOCAR Energy Georgia.
One station was opened in the Kakheti region and the other two were opened in Tbilisi, the report reads.

Today, the company owns 74 filing stations in Georgia. It is planned to increase the figure to 100 by late 2011.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum began its work in 2006 and is a 100-percent subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia.

SOCAR has a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan. It is gradually opening gas stations in Ukraine and planns to open SOCAR gas stations in Romania in mid-summer.
