Azerbaijan cannot choose any pipeline projects to deliver gas to Europe unless several unresolved issues in the proposals are dealt with, a SOCAR senior representative said.
All three pipeline projects, including Nabucco, TAP and ITGI have presented proposals to the partners developing Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan. At present, they are under consideration. However, the Azerbaijani side must have the accurate data about investment and construction periods, tariffs for pumping gas through the territories, SOCAR representative said.
Accordingly, the project will also affect the amount of investments to be made in the implementation of such gas projects, as Shah Deniz, Absheron and other fields.
Gas production partners do not make any restrictions in the periods within the pipeline construction projects.
Earlier, SOCAR appealed to the companies-participants in gas pipeline projects for them to present their proposals and information on the IGI Poseidon, TAP and Nabucco gas pipeline projects.
