SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) plans to conduct three-dimensional geophysical explorations on several fields owned by Azneft Production Unit in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a source in SOCAR told Trend.
According to source, particularly, the exploration is planned on the fields of Bulla-Deniz and Here-Zira.
"In case of completion of work under other contracts, next year, 3D-exploration on these fields," said the source.
Currently under a contract with Bahar Energy Limited, SOCAR prepares to resume three-dimensional geophysical exploration between the prospective structure Bahar-2 and Gum Deniz field. SOCAR is also preparing exploration on fields Zig-Hovsani.
The Bulla Deniz Field has been exploited since 1975. Roughly 62 billion cubic meters of gas and 11 million tons of oil and gas condensate were produced on the field. The daily debit of this field is 450,000 cubic meters of gas.
