Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 12 / Trend N. Ismayilova /
The German KfW will choose a consultant to develop a feasibility study for a project to develop renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan in early 2012, the KfW Baku office told Trend today.
"We have received applications from about 13 companies," the bank said. "They are under assessment. Up to four main proposals and the winner will be chosen."
The bank said the preliminary selection will end in January 2012. The tender's results will be announced in the first quarter of 2012.
The project aims to increase the share of renewable energy sources in total electric power generation in the country and to ensure continuous and effective use of resources.
