Kazakh KazMunaiGas plans to produce 22 million tons of oil in 2012

Kazakh national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas (KMG) plans to produce 21.9 million tons in 2012, Interfax-Kazakhstan quoted company's Managing Director Daniyar Berlibayev as saying.

"Company's consolidated oil production should reach 21.9 million tons in 2012," Berlibayev said at a meeting of the Oil and Gas Ministry.

Moreover, KMG plans to transport 64 million tons of oil and 108 billion cubic meters of gas in 2012. Company's oil processing is expected at the level of 16 million tons. Company's profit should hit 300 billion tenge (over $2 billion).

KMG produced 21.1 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2011 or 4 percent more than in 2010. Company's consolidated volume of oil refining hit 15.3 million tons in 2011 or 4 percent more than in 2010.

KazMunaiGaz is Kazakh national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan. 100 percent of KazMunayGas shares are owned by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
