Kazakhstan increased production of chemical, metallurgical, machine building industry and construction materials in January, Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.
Meanwhile, oil and gas condensate production decreased by 2.2 percent to 6.9 million tons and gas production decreased by 0.3 percent in January, 2012 compared to the same period of 2011.
Gasoline production increased by 27.7 percent during this period compared to January 2011 to 0.3 million tons, flat-rolled production - by 22.2 percent to 0.3 million tons, refined copper production - by 0.8 percent to 30,000 tons, electricity production - by 5.0 percent to 9 billion kWh.
Ferroalloy production decreased by 3.2 percent to 0.1 million tons during this period.
An increase in production was observed in 13 regions. Decline in production was recorded in Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions.
