Rompetrol Group masters Romanian market of industrial valves

The Rompetrol Group masters the Romanian market of industrial valves, the press-service of the KazMunaiGas Kazakh national oil and gas company said on Tuesday.

The Rompetrol Group through its subsidiary Rominserv Valves Iaifo Zalău enters the Romanian market for industrial valves of large sizes, exceeding 4.3 tons. So far the biggest details, cast in the company, did not exceed 2.2 tons," the press-release said.

According to the press service, in January, 2012 the company completed work on a production of six items such of diaphragms type used in the production of compressors for the U.S. company.

For manufacture of parts with 3.4 x 1. 7 x 0.7 m dimensions 27 cores were used, and the products themselves were cast from iron in accordance with ASTM standard.

The Rominserv Valves Iaifo Zalău company was founded in 1969 and specializes in designing, manufacturing and selling a wide range and dimension types of stop valves (valves) for use in various ways, including refining, petrochemicals, transportation of gas, heating central, water distribution networks at low and high temperatures, as well as special environments.

Rompetrol is a large holding company. Most of its operations and assets are located in France, Romania, Spain, and Southeastern Europe. The group is active primarily in refining and marketing downstream, with additional operations in exploration, production and other services for the oil industry. It owns two oil refineries - Petromidia and Vega - and some 630 gas stations in Europe (Romania, France, Spain, Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Albania, and Georgia).

KazMunaiGas is the Kazakh national operator for hydrocarbon exploration, production, processing and transportation. The state owns 100 per cent of the company's shares.
