Kazakhstan’s gas production ups

Kazakhstan's total production of gas amounted to 20.338 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-June, 2012, compared to 19.964 bcm during the same period of 2011, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.

Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.33 bcm in June, 2012 compared to 3.32 bcm during the same month of last year. In June, 2012 gas production in the country increased by 0.2 percent as compared to June, 2011 and increased by 1 percent compared to the previous month.

The fulfillment of the indicative plan on the gas extraction amounted to 100.4 percent in June, 2012.

Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 476 million cubic metres in June, 2012, which is 6.8 percent less than demand in the previous month and 3.8 percent more than in June, 2011.
