Oil imports into Turkey in September 2012 decreased by 16.6 percent compared to the previous month and reached 1.7 million tons, Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) said in its report on Thursday.
Oil imports in January-September 2012 increased by 4 per cent compared to the same period of 2011 and amounted to 14.4 million tons.
Import of diesel in September decreased by 21.7 percent and amounted to 628,000 tons, and for nine months increased by 3.7 percent compared to the same period of 2011 and amounted to 6.48 million tons.
Export of gasoline from Turkey increased by 1.1 percent and amounted to 241,000 tons in September. Aviation fuel export decreased by 15.5 per cent and amounted to 189,000 tons, while marine fuel - by 34.9 percent and amounted to 92,500 tons.
In January-September 2012 export of gasoline increased by 5.8 percent compared to the same period in 2011 and amounted to 1.9 million tons. Export of aviation fuel during the year increased by 21.4 percent and amounted to 1.8 million tons, export of marine fuel increased by 39 percent and amounted to 1.6 million tons.
