SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery processed about 5.74 million tons of raw materials in 2012, exceeding plans by 4.1%, SOCAR said on Monday.
According to the report, four million tons of the total volume of processed raw materials fell to oil and over 1.7 million tons fell to raw materials and semi-finished products from the Azneftyag plant (straight-run petrol - 217,300 tons, straight-run fuel oil - 15,700 tons, vacuum gas oil - 545,600 tons, kerosene - 265,400 tons and diesel distillate - 682,700 tons).
The processing depth at the plant hit 90.2% during the year.
The Azerbaijani State Oil Company is the only producer of oil products. It has two refineries on its balance sheets. One of them is the Heydar Aliyev refinery, focused on the production of light petroleum products and the second one - Azneftyag refinery deals with the production of dark petroleum products.
