In 2012, petroleum products with the total cost of $29.4 billion were exported from Azerbaijan abroad, almost 7 percent less than for the same period the year before, according to the balance of payments released by the Central Bank of the country.
During the reporting period, the share of oil and gas products in the structure of exports was 94.1 percent compared to 95.3 percent in 2011. This reduction is mainly related to the 7.05-percent oil supplies decrease
According to the payment balance, total value of the exported oil constituted $27.7 billion, the price of petroleum products - $1.7 billion. The share of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) in the total amount of exported oil totaled $26.1 billion compared to 28.2 billion a year before.
Other enterprises exported petroleum to the amount of $ 1.7 billion, including condensate from Shah Deniz field costing $134.9 million and oil to the amount of $ 1.6 billion exported by the SOCAR. In 2011, total value of exported oil comprised $1504 million.
The total value of exported goods, falling on non-oil sector, increased by 19.1 percent, constituting $1,933.5 million.
Total export value decreased by 5.5 percent last year, constituting $32.6 billion.
