Oil and condensate export volumes from Azeri-Chirag- Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields announced in Azerbaijan

Around 328 million tons of oil and gas condensate have been exported from Azerbaijan by various routes since oil production started at the Azeri -Chirag- Guneshli block of oil and gas fields and Shah Deniz field, SOCAR First Vice-President for Geology, Geophysics and Mining Khoshbaht Yusufzade said at a workshop organised as part of the Days of Norway event in Azerbaijan today.

According to him, around 230 million tons of the total exported oil volume went through the Baku -Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. Around 66 million tons were exported via the Baku -Supsa oil pipeline, while 12 million tons of oil via the Baku -Novorossiysk oil pipeline. Around 20 million tons of oil was exported by rail.

The contract for development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli large offshore field was signed in 1994. Shares are distributed as follows: BP (operator in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli) - 35.78 per cent, Chevron - 11.27 per cent, Inpex - 10.96 per cent, AzACG - 11.65 per cent, Statoil - 8.56 per cent, Exxon - 8 per cent, TPAO - 6.75 per cent, Itochu - 4.3 per cent and ONGC - 2.72 per cent.
