The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 88,260 tons of oil products from its own refineries in January 2014, compared to 97,670 tons in January 2013, SOCAR said on Feb. 4.
SOCAR exported 1.04 million tons of oil products in 2013 compared to more than 1.24 million tons in 2012.
Petroleum products in Azerbaijan are made on the basis of two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 16 million tons a year. Both refineries are part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields on a self-funded basis.
