The average daily oil production volumes at a block of the Bahar and Gum Deniz offshore fields, developed as part of PSA-contract in February 2014, increased by 26.7 percent - up to 8,798 barrels per day, according to Greenfields Petroleum Corporation. The production volumes totaled 6,944 barrels per day in January 2014.

Three-dimensional seismic surveys will be continued on the contract area. Currently, they are delayed due to windy weather. The three-dimensional surveys are expected to be accelerated after the weather conditions normalize, according to the report.

Eight new wells are planned to be drilled as part of the operations in 2014.

The contract for the exploration, development and production on the block was signed by SOCAR and Bahar Energy in 2009.

The Azerbaijani private company Baghlan Group owns a share worth 66.67 percent in Bahar Energy.
