Kazakh Government decreed to impose a temporary ban on the export of oil products

Baku, Azerbaijan, July 1

By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakh Government decreed to impose a temporary ban on the export of oil products, official media reported on July 1.

A six-month ban was imposed on the export of light distillates and products, middle distillates, kerosene, gas oil, diesel fuel, motor oil, liquids for hydraulic purposes, light oil, gear oil, electrical insulating oil and other petroleum products.

The only oil product which is allowed for export in Kazakhstan in the next six month is domestic heating oil.

A ban was imposed in order to prevent a critical shortage of petroleum products on the domestic market and price rise in this sphere.

The decree comes into force on July 1.
