Work is underway on the 25-kilometers-long Red Bridge - Marneuli section of a main gas pipeline in Georgia. To date, 57.8 percent of the work has already been completed.

The construction work carried out by 'Komfortmshen 21' company, the winner of the tender, started in September 2014 and will be completed in February 2015, Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia told Trend.

The contract is worth of 3.85 million GEL ($1=1.92 GEL), including VAT. The Oil and Gas Corporation delivered pipes and other construction materials worth nearly 4.5 million GEL to the company to carry out the work.

Red Bridge - Tsalka - Akhalkalaki gas pipeline, constructed in 1978, supplies gas to Georgia's south.
