World oil prices fell sharply on Feb. 11 on the eve of the publication of data on commercial raw materials stocks in the US, the Russian RIA Novosti news agency reported.
The March futures price for the North Sea Brent blend fell by 3.9 percent down to $54.67 per barrel, and for WTI - by 3.2 percent, down to $48.91 per barrel.
Brent and WTI for the first time since Feb. 5 fell below $55 and $50 per barrel, respectively.
