Turkish company Botas International Limited (BIL) shipped 2.39 billion barrels of oil from Ceyhan oil terminal between June 2, 2006 and Feb. 2, 2016, the company's website said Feb. 2.
BIL has been operating the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline on Turkey's territory since 2001.
During the mentioned period, some 3,142 tankers were shipped from the terminal, read the message on the BIL website.
The total length of the BTC is 1,768 kilometers, of which 443 kilometers go through Azerbaijan, 249 kilometers - through Georgia and 1,076 kilometers - through Turkey.
Construction of the pipeline started in April 2003 and it was filled with oil on May 18, 2005.
