Japan-Turkey consortium building Turkmenistan’s largest gas processing plant

Consortium of Japan’s Kawasaki and Turkey’s Ronesans is constructing the largest gas processing plant in Turkmenistan to produce high-quality gasoline from natural gas.

Consortium of Japan’s Kawasaki and Turkey’s Ronesans is constructing the largest gas processing plant in Turkmenistan to produce high-quality gasoline from natural gas, said the Turkmen Ministry of Oil and Gas in a message.

The works to design and prepare the project documentation is complete by more than 60 percent to date.

Shipment and delivery of technological and auxiliary equipment, and materials has also started.

The plant is being built in Turkmenistan’s Ahal region.

Total cost of the project is $1.7 billion and the project is being implemented through the investments of the Japanese side and the funds from Turkmengas State Concern.
