The participants of the Doha meeting reaffirmed their commitment to the Algiers agreement to cut production at 32.5 million barrels, Sputnik International news agency quoted Algerian Energy Minister Nouredine Boutarfa as saying Nov.18.
"The participants of the Doha meeting reaffirmed their commitment to the Algiers agreement to cut production at 32.5 million barrels," Boutarfa told reporters.
OPEC members reached a preliminary deal in Algeria in September to cap oil production at 32.5-33 million barrels per day. The deal is expected to be finalized in Vienna on November 30.
The ministers of the oil producing countries met informally on the sidelines of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Doha earlier in the day.
