Turkmen refineries increase production volumes

About 3.3 million tons of oil were delivered to oil refineries in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Seydi in January-June 2017, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said in an article.

“This is by 116,700 tons more than the planned volume of supplies for the reporting period,” said the article.

In comparison with the same period last year, production plan of motor gasoline was implemented by 105.1 percent, diesel fuel - 104.4 percent, polypropylene - 106.2 percent, lubricants - 112.9 percent and liquefied gas – 123.4 percent in January-June 2017, according to the article.

During this period, more than 1.02 million tons of gasoline of all brands, about 1.02 million tons of diesel fuel and more than 82,000 tons of liquefied gas were produced at the refineries in Turkmenbashi and Seydi cities.

All indicators are higher than the expected level of production in the reporting period.

In January-June 2017, more than 917,300 tons of gasoline were produced at the refinery in the city of Turkmenbashi. This is by 14,800 tons more compared to the same period last year. The growth rate of production of 95 RON gasoline was 116 percent, 92 RON gasoline - 140.2 percent.

“More than 409,000 tons of 95 RON gasoline were shipped abroad and to the Turkmen domestic market, and 24,300 tons of this type of gasoline were exported,” said the article. “This is by 24,300 tons more than in the same period of 2016.”

For the six months of 2017, about 187,000 tons of aviation kerosene were shipped abroad and to the Turkmen domestic market from the refinery in the Turkmenbashi city. This is while the total value of export shipments of aviation fuel increased by 4.7 percent compared to the base indicator of the last year.

About 246,000 tons of kerosene were shipped abroad and to the Turkmen domestic market from the refinery in the Turkmenbashi city, more than 157,600 tons of them were exported, and their cost increased by almost two percent.
