Transneft JSC, after the earthquake in the Derbent region, inspects the section of the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, and pumping has been suspended, the company’s official representative Igor Demin told reporters.
He said that the weather condition in all ports is normal and there is no delay is movement of tankers, TASS reported.
“Currently, the survey at the Shirvan section of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline (from the border with Azerbaijan to Kaspiysk) continues. The beginning of the pumping from Makhachkala in the direction of the ‘Sulak’ oil pumping station and further to Tikhoretsk will start at noon,” TASS quoted Demin as saying.
