The volume of petroleum import of the US from OPEC countries averaged 3.435 million barrels per day (mb/d) as of the first ten months of 2017, compared to averagely 3.430 mb/d in the same period in 2016, according to the Monthly Energy Review of the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The US imported 3.793 million barrels of oil per day from OPEC countries in January, 3.445 mb/d in February, 3.592 mb/d in March, 3.737 mb/d in April, 3.644 mb/d in May, 3.537 mb/d in June, 3.399 mb/d in July, 3.181 mb/d in August, 2.880 mb/d in September and 3.135 mb/d in October 2017, according to the EIA.
This is while the volume of petroleum import from non-OPEC countries stood at 6.683 million barrels per day in first ten months of 2017, as compared to 6.619 million barrels per day in the same period in 2016.
