Jizzakh Petroleum (a joint venture between Gazprom and Uzbekneftegaz) and Honeywell UOP (former Universal Oil Products) signed an agreement on the implementation of the project to build an oil refinery complex in the Jizzakh region, the press service of the Uzbek company reported.
Honeywell UOP will be a technology licensor for the project. The complex is designed to process 5 million tons of oil annually, producing high-quality petroleum products.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC, on its part, signed a memorandum of understanding with Honeywell UOP on organization of production of olefins from methanol and products based on them by the Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) technology, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in modernization of gas processing processes using Separex technology.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in SCADA technology (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) has also been signed.
