Enter Engineering Pte Ltd will begin construction of the pipeline from the Jizzakh Oil Refinery complex to the border with Kazakhstan in the 3-4Q2018, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source in the company.

The source noted that the company, controlled by the Gazprombank group, must resolve all major investment issues and basic solutions for the pipeline.

The representative of the Enter Engineering said that geographic and topographical surveys are currently being conducted on the proposed oil pipeline route.

According to the source, there are several options for the pipeline route, one of which will be selected eventually.

Uzbekneftegaz stated earlier that to supply the complex with raw materials, a 100-kilometer pipeline will be constructed connecting it to the Omsk-Pavlodar-Shymkent oil pipeline in Kazakhstan.

The complex is designed to process 5 million tons of oil annually, producing high-quality petroleum products.

Construction of the new oil refinery worth $2.2 billion was commenced on in late April 2017.

In June 2017, Gas Project Development Central Asia AG (GPD, a subsidiary of Gazprom International, 40 percent) and Uzbekneftegaz JSC (60 percent) established Jizzakh Petroleum JV. Enter Engineering is the general contractor of the project.
