Iran can meet electricity needs of neighboring countries - deputy minister

The access to the electricity network in Iran has been fully provided, the deputy minister of energy and head of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA), Mohammad Sadaqzadeh told Trend.

He added that investors can start investing and export electricity from renewable energy sources at any point.

Citing Iran's renewable energy export plan, he said Iran is one of the most privileged countries in terms of access to electricity networks.

“Iran is the region's fourth largest electricity producer and first in access to electricity networks," he said.

Sadaqzadeh added that Iran's private sector will be active the field of electricity exports from renewable energy sources.

"Currently, 100% of the network has been accessed in our country and this network can be exported, so the investor can take electricity at any point of production and export to any geographic location,” he said, adding that Iran also has all the necessary infrastructure.

"We can produce and supply solar energy in Tabas desert, the Lut desert and provide the same amount of production with a small fraction of the loss to the foreign applicant company,” he said.
