Iranian Interior Minister AbdolRahman Rahmani Fazli spoke about price of local currency and its consequences on increasing the oil smuggling on the borders.

"One of the suggestions was that we should regulate the distribution of fuel, as there are more than 350,000 immigrant fuel cards in circulation in the border areas according to the information of the Ministry of Oil,” he told journalists.

"There are people whose oil cards have been issued in Tehran, but they use these cards to refill in Sistan and Baluchistan, Hormozgan and other provinces,” he said. “The Ministry of Oil was instructed to scrutinize this issue and it was proposed that all cards be used all over the country by car owners become prohibited to use in other provinces.”

“Four working groups were set up to examine this issue,” said Fazli.

He explained the role of working groups and said that four working groups were formed, which included the media and content analysis group, economics group, psychological operations group and cyberspace group, and its members were identified and their executives should be ordered.

“It's very important for us to be peaceful and stable in making decisions. This meeting, which people are taking seriously, are certain that it will bring stability in the economic sphere," he said.
